Skills: I can program almost any type of software on any popular computer platform, in any language: C, C++, FORTRAN, PASCAL, etc. I have been writing software since I was in high school in 1979. My specialty is "putting out fires", or solving complex software problems in short order. No project is too small or too large. Legacy code is no problem. I have a very short learning curve, and am willing to learn new languages and new platforms in a snap. When I was at Hughes Aircraft, it was not uncommon for me to work on two or three projects simultaneously, on different types of computers, and in different languages. I also can read and speak Spanish with moderate fluency. Expert on computer-generated fractals, OpenGL / Inventor / VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language); also professional VJ (mixing live-generated video to techno music) Other Interests: I’ve been a victim of the “Tahiti Syndrome” since I went to Bora Bora in 1986. Was an avid golver when I lived in California. Also spent way too much time building HO railroad sets in my teens. Still want to do a massive-screen VJ gig someday, maybe on the side of a skyscraper or on Hoover Dam. Would also like to try building my MPTM supercomputer design someday; fab labs are expensive…
